Premier of Polish Strategy for Onshore Wind Industry Development, May 12, 2026

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the PAP Press Center hosted the launch of the report “Polish Strategy for Onshore Wind Industry Development”!

PLN 214 billion – that is how much the onshore wind energy market in Poland could be worth by 2040. As indicated by the report prepared by Wind Industry Hub, the Polish Wind Energy Association, and CEE Energy Group, the annual flow of investments and operating expenses could reach as much as PLN 17 billion if Poland maintains a pace of new capacity development at 1.5–2 GW per year. The authors of the study emphasize that as much of this capital as possible should remain in the country, driving the development of Polish industry, new technologies, and thousands of jobs. The document outlines how to leverage the development of onshore wind energy to strengthen domestic industry and services and enhance the competitiveness of the Polish economy.

The official launch was inaugurated by Janusz Gajowiecki, President of PSEW and WIH, and Director Wojciech Pawłuszko from the Ministry of State Assets. Maciej Mierzwiński and Dominika Taranko presented the Strategy’s key assumptions, followed by a discussion session featuring two expert panels: the investor session was moderated by Piotr Czopek, with the following panelists:
