The conference “Energy Transformation – New Technologies and Business Challenges“, organized by the e-magazyny.pl portal, has concluded. The event served as a major platform connecting leaders, experts, and practitioners of the energy transition, with a particular emphasis on the battery industry.
The event was officially opened by Katarzyna Wypychewicz, CEO of the E-Magazyny Media Group, Jacek Stężowski, Editor-in-Chief of the E-Magazyny portal, and Konrad Wojnarowski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Energy. A highlight of the morning was a keynote speech by Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, who shared his insights on the future of the Polish economy in the context of global changes.
A significant portion of the event was dedicated to the role of domestic companies in strategic energy projects. The panel, titled “Local content in the energy transformation – can Poland build its own industry?”, focused on strategies to increase the “domestic component” within public procurement and modern sectors such as offshore wind and energy storage.
Participants emphasized the critical need for a stable and long-term state industrial policy. Such a framework is essential for enabling Polish suppliers to effectively build value chains and compete successfully on the international market.
The discussion was moderated by Aleksandra Hołownia (Dziennik Gazeta Prawna) and featured a distinguished group of experts:
-
Barbara Adamska – President of the Polish Energy Storage Association (PSME);
-
Przemysław Grosfeld – Vice-President of the Public Procurement Office;
-
Dorota Jeziorowska – Director of the Office of the Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure, Ministry of Energy;
-
Eliza Kruczkowska – Managing Director of Think Tank The Company;
-
Wojciech Pawłuszko – Director of the Legal Department, Ministry of State Assets;
-
Dominika Taranko – Managing Director of the Wind Industry Hub.
We would like to thank the organizers for the invitation and all the participants for a highly engaging and substantive discussion on the future of the Polish industrial sector.
