I3FLOAT is an ambitious European large-scale project designed to strengthen Europe’s leadership in floating wind energy by fostering innovation and interregional collaboration. As part of this effort, I3FLOAT is developing a collaborative Floating Offshore Wind Strategic Innovation Agenda, which will serve both as a technological and strategic reference for the sector, and as a key input to the two project’s upcoming Open Calls.
During Phase 1 of the participatory process, stakeholders from across the floating offshore wind value chain contributed to the characterisation and validation of the proposed innovation lines, helping to strengthen and refine the content of the Agenda. Building on these results, we are now launching Phase 2 of the participatory process, focused on the prioritisation of innovation lines. The objective is to identify those innovation lines with the greatest strategic relevance for the future development and industrial deployment of floating offshore wind. In Phase 2, participants are invited to assess the innovation lines according to two criteria:
- Technical-industrial viability
- Potential impact on cost reduction
The consultation is organised through a simple online questionnaire. Participants are encouraged to evaluate only those innovation lines for which they have sufficient knowledge and expertise. Access the questionnaire for prioritisation of innovation lines, here: I3FLOAT Floating Offshore Wind Strategic Agenda – PHASE 2. Please find attached the PDF containing the detail of each innovation line can be accessed. Your contribution will help identify the most relevant innovation priorities for the sector and for the Open Calls that the I3FLOAT consortium will launch in September 2026 and April 2027. The questionnaire will remain open until 3 July 2026. We kindly encourage you to submit your responses before this deadline.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
