The development of onshore wind energy is an opportunity for up to PLN 100 billion in direct revenue for Polish companies‼️ Investing in wind energy is not only an energy transition, but above all a driver of economic growth and the creation of competitive jobs in Poland🚀

According to the update of the National Energy and Climate Plan, the implementation of an ambitious scenario by 2040 could bring us impressive benefits:
📈 34.6 GW – this is the total planned installed onshore wind capacity, which means the construction of as much as 23 GW of new capacity!
⚡ 32% – this is the share of total electricity production in Poland that onshore wind power could have by 2040.
💰 PLN 214 billion – this is the value that total investments could reach (PLN 148 billion for construction + PLN 66 billion for maintenance).
🏭 45-60% – this is the potential of domestic local content in the entire life cycle of onshore wind farms (40-50% in the CAPEX phase and 60-70% in the OPEX phase).

These figures were presented on December 3 by Janusz Gajowiecki, President of PSEW and WIH, during the inauguration of the Wind Energy Forum in Warsaw. These are our calculations, developed for the Polish Strategy for the Development of the Onshore Wind Energy Industry, which is being prepared by Wind Industry Hub, the Polish Wind Energy Association, and CEE Energy Group – more information coming soon!
