The implementation of the Polish Strategy for the Development of Offshore Wind Farms will unlock the enormous potential of the domestic supply chain. Guaranteeing Poland’s energy security, increasing GDP and the competitiveness of domestic industry, and providing jobs for thousands of people are just some of the benefits that could result from systematic and coordinated state support for the development of the offshore wind sector.

However, despite various barriers, the wind sector in Poland is already growing in strength. The Wind Industry Hub Foundation has gathered information on flagship investments in the offshore wind energy supply chain that are already operating in Poland or are currently developing industrial facilities in the country. The entities indicated in our study will offer a total of over 11,000 well-paid jobs, including in installation and service ports, wind turbine component factories, assembly plants, and transformer station and cable factories.

The dynamic growth in investment in recent years clearly indicates that Poland is becoming a regional industrial hub for the wind energy sector! And this is just the beginning, as it is estimated that projects related to offshore wind energy alone could create tens of thousands of jobs in Poland by 2030, including 13,000-21,000 directly in the sector and 10,000-17,000 indirect jobs.

We strongly encourage you to read our study entitled POLISH INDUSTRIAL HUB FOR THE WIND ENERGY SECTOR – Flagship investments in the OWE supply chain 2025, which is the second, recently updated edition of the publication.
