Last Friday, Michał Forycki from Wind Industry Hub led a workshop entitled “Components of the onshore and offshore wind energy supply chain. Strategies for the development of industry and services for the wind sector in Poland. Practical guidelines on how to become a supplier” during the Industry and Energy Congress INDUSTRY IN TRANSITION in Wisła.
The event, organised by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, was an ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs wishing to capitalise on the opportunities arising from the energy transition in Silesia – a region hitherto reliant on a high-carbon, coal-based economy – to meet and establish new business relationships. The workshops were aimed at companies that are not yet part of the wind energy supply chain but demonstrate the potential to join the sector.
Participants at the meeting learnt, amongst other things, about the current state of the wind energy market in Poland, the prospects for development, and the most popular contracting models; they also discovered the various procurement packages and learned how to establish relationships with contractors.
Thank you to the organisers for the invitation!
