The offshore wind energy (OWE) investment programme in Poland entered the construction phase in 2025. The installation of the first offshore wind farm (OWF) in the Polish economic zone of the Baltic Sea – Baltic Power – is proceeding successfully. At the same time, the PGE Group, together with Ørsted, is preparing to implement the Baltica 2 project – the largest offshore wind farm in Poland in terms of generation capacity, which, after obtaining the final investment decision, is currently in the preparation phase for construction.
Along with this new, large-scale source of green energy for consumers in Poland, a modern economic sector based on the production of components, supplies and services for the OWF sector is emerging.
In recent years, port, production and infrastructure facilities have been built along the Polish coast, providing jobs for several thousand skilled workers.
Thanks to the kindness and commitment of the event partners, the Polish Wind Energy Association, together with Wind Industry Hub, is organising a study trip to visit the most important facilities that make up the national offshore HUB.
The trip will take place on 3-5 September 2025 on the Szczecin-Gdańsk route.
The programme of the 3-day study visit includes the most important ports (installation and service) and production plants supporting the development of OWF projects. During the trip, key decision-makers and industry journalists in Poland will learn about the individual plants and the production and operational processes carried out at these facilities.
During the study visit, we plan to visit:
- Vestas Nacelle Assembly Factory in Szczecin
- Szczecin Shipyard ‘Wulkan’
- Euro Terminal in Świnoujście
- Świnoujście Offshore Terminal
- The construction of the operational and service base for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm in Ustka
- The Baltic Power operational and service base in Łeba
- The construction of the Baltica 2 Onshore Transformer Station in Choczewo
- Maritime Advanced Research Centre (CTO S.A.)
- GP Baltic
- Baltic Towers
If weather conditions are favourable, a cruise on the CTV vessel from Bota Green Offshore to the Baltic Power offshore wind farm is also planned.
We invite you to read the trip brochure to learn more about the locations we will be visiting!
