The event brought together key stakeholders in the wind energy sector, ministers, local government officials, investors and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>The event featured numerous contributions from representatives of the Wind Industry Hub Foundation and the Polish Wind Energy Association. Dominika Taranko moderated a panel discussion entitled \u2018Local governments as a pillar of local content strategy,\u2019 which was attended by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sebastian Ciemnoczo\u0142owski, Marshal of the Lubuskie Province<\/li>\n<li>Olgierd Geblewicz, Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province<\/li>\n<li>Jacek Bogus\u0142awski, Deputy Marshal of the Greater Poland Province<\/li>\n<li>Micha\u0142 Przepiera, First Deputy Mayor of Szczecin<\/li>\n<li>Janusz Gajowiecki, President of the Polish Wind Energy Association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The discussion covered topics related to the role of regions in the development of the wind energy industry, local development and investment attraction strategies, cooperation between local governments and local companies and investors, as well as good regional practices. The session was accompanied by the signing of the Szczecin Offshore Hub Consortium agreement \u2013 an agreement between four key entities of the Pomeranian Maritime Industry, which aims to build a strong, integrated base for offshore wind energy \u2013 Stocznia Szczeci\u0144ska \u2018Wulkan\u2019 sp. z o.o., GOTECH, Stalkon, and Elektryka Morska.<\/p>\n<p>In the later workshop part of the Forum, we had the pleasure of discussing both offshore and onshore wind supply chains in Poland. The part dedicated to the LEW industry was led by Maciej Mierzwi\u0144ski, President of CEE Energy Group, project leader and partner of Wind Industry Hub, while the workshops for the MEW sector were led by Oliwia Mr\u00f3z-Malik, Vice-President of Wind Industry Hub and Offshore Wind Energy Manager at PSEW.<\/p>\n<p>The entire event was accompanied by the premiere of the Offshore Wind Energy Industry Development Programme in the West Pomerania and Szczecin Region, authored by the Wind Industry Hub Foundation, the Polish Wind Energy Association and CEE Energy Group. The document identifies five regional specialisations (priority programmes): turbines (value chain); foundations for the future; cables; O&amp;M and repowering (including dismantling\/recycling).<\/p>\n<p>The implementation measures include:<br \/>\n(1) systematic development of supply chains for priority programmes<br \/>\n(2) consolidation of innovation development for these industries<br \/>\n(3) development of enterprise competencies throughout the chain of five priority programmes<br \/>\n(4) focusing education on the needs of priority programmes<br \/>\n(5)
