We have had an extraordinary week thanks to the PWEA2025<\/b> Conference in \u015awinouj\u015bcie!<\/p>\n

Three intense days were filled with inspiring speeches, debates, and meetings that confirmed the growing importance of the domestic wind industry in the context of the energy transition and energy security in Poland and Europe.<\/p>\n

On the opening day of the Conference, during the panel discussion \u201cThe role of the domestic industry in energy security,\u201d Dominika Taranko<\/strong>, together with Jakub Wiech<\/strong> and representatives of industry and administration, discussed the strategic role of the Polish offshore wind sector in the context of hybrid threats, the need to develop autonomous maritime surveillance systems, and the potential for cooperation between the energy industry and the defense sector.<\/p>\n

Another session moderated by the Vice President of Wind Industry Hub<\/b> was devoted to the wind industry development strategy for the Szczecin Metropolis. During the discussion, representatives of local government, industry, and technology companies debated the potential of local supply chains and opportunities for their further development. The Szczecin Metropolis appears to be an area with unique industrial and logistical potential which, with the right strategic support, could become a pillar of the Polish offshore industry.<\/p>\n

On the second day of the conference, the session entitled \u201cOffshore \u2013 European industrial policy and the offshore sector in Poland\u201d was particularly interesting from an \u201cindustrial\u201d point of view. The discussion focused on the need to expand local supply chains, competitive advantages and threats, as well as non-price support tools and coordination of activities.<\/p>\n

On the last day, we discussed the need to rebuild industrial competencies for the onshore wind sector after a period of stagnation caused by the 10H Act, the potential of domestic suppliers in the construction of foundations for offshore wind farms, and the opportunities arising from the establishment of an offshore wind farm installation company based in Poland.<\/p>\n

The B2B workshops for suppliers were particularly popular, during which OWF developers \u2013 ORLEN Neptun, Equinor<\/b>, and PGE Baltica<\/b> \u2013 presented specific design requirements and planned procurement activities for the coming years.<\/p>\n

This was a unique opportunity for domestic suppliers to join the supply chain of the largest wind energy projects being implemented in Poland \u2013 thank you!<\/p>\n<\/div>
