On April 14, 2025, representatives of the Wind Industry Hub Foundation and the Polish Wind Energy Association – Dominika Taranko<\/b> and Piotr Czopek<\/b> – were present in the Senate, where a meeting of the chairmen of the climate and energy committees of the parliaments of EU member states and the European Parliament was held. The event was organized as part of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The meeting was opened by the Marshal of the Senate, Ma\u0142gorzata Kidawa-B\u0142o\u0144ska<\/b>. The agenda included 3 sessions on the following topics:<\/p>\n

\u2705 Competitiveness Compass and Clean Industry Strategy
\n\u2705 Clean Industry Strategy for the EU Energy Sector
\n\u2705 Zero-emission energy for EU security<\/p>\n

\n\u27a1\ufe0f Ma\u0142gosia Bartosik<\/b>, Deputy CEO, WindEurope, member of the program council of the Wind Industry Hub Foundation<\/p>\n

Dominika Taranko<\/b> also took part in the debate. In her speech, the Vice President of the Wind Industry Hub pointed out three areas on which member states should focus their activities first, especially in view of the importance of wind energy in the EU, which will ultimately account for 50% of Europe’s energy production and is the last European technology in which the EU supply chain still plays a key role:
\n\ud83d\udccc governments should show transparent goals and a timetable for implementation and a long-term vision that will not be subject to regression due to political differences
\n\ud83d\udccc the authorities must help to identify production capacities in Europe, as such analyses are still lacking at the national level, which hinders cooperation at the EU level
\n\ud83d\udccc countries should support national specializations so that each country can effectively play its role in the construction of the new sector<\/p>\n

For the domestic offshore wind sector, these issues have been analyzed in the document of the Polish Offshore Wind Industry Development Strategy. The authors of the Strategy have also developed a series of recommendations enabling the harmonious development of the OWE sector in Poland.
