The Offshore Wind Poland 2024 Conference is behind us, and the Wind Industry Hub (WIH) Foundation had a big part in it. On the first day of the conference, Dominika Taranko, Vice President and Managing Director of WIH, together with Maciej Mierzwinski, President of CEE Energy Group, presented the assumptions for the Polish Offshore Wind Industry Development Strategy.<\/p>\n

The presentation was a prelude to a discussion moderated by Ma\u0142gosia Bartosik, Vice President of WindEurope, titled: \u201cValue Chain in the Development Process of OWE in Poland.\u201d The panel also included:

\n\ud83d\udd39Piotr Bogus, Managing Director of the Investment Division, Polish Development Fund S.A. (PFR)<\/p>\n

On the second day of the conference, the theme of supply chain development strategy for offshore wind energy continued during the workshop, the purpose of which was to consult a synthesis of the analysis developed by the Wind Industry Hub (WIH) and CEE Energy Group, along with recommendations for the implementation of 9 strategic implementation programs in Poland.<\/p>\n

In addition, Experts of the Wind Industry Hub Foundation (WIH) and the law firm DWF (Poland) prepared the first report in Poland, which is an analysis of key aspects of contracting in the offshore wind farm sector – from contractual standards to risk and liability issues. The presentation of the publication \u201cImplementation of offshore wind farms – legal aspects of contracts in the offshore wind sector\u201d took place on the second day of the conference, during a panel discussion on key aspects of contracting in the offshore sector. The discussion was led by experts from DWF Poland \u0141ukasz Gembi\u015b and Agnieszka Chyli\u0144ska.<\/p>\n

During the conference we also distributed another, already the 3rd edition of our Directory of Wind Energy Suppliers and Service Providers in Poland. Currently, the publication already lists 109 companies.

The Offshore Wind Poland 2024 conference breathed a lot of optimism about the government’s commitment to support the development of the offshore wind investment program. The event was attended by key decision-makers for the sector I emphasized that the OWF is a priority project for the Polish government.<\/p>\n<\/div>
