The West Pomeranian Wind Hub Workshop is behind us.\u00a0Wind Industry Hub (WIH) Foundation<\/strong><\/b> together with the Polish Wind Energy Association<\/strong><\/b> had the pleasure to organize it. The opening panel of the event discussed the potential of the wind industry in the region:<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd39 Michal Falkowski, Regional Director of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego<\/strong><\/b> \ud83d\udd39 Artur Ambro\u017cewicz CEO\/President of Vulcan Training & Consultancy, Vice President of the Board of the Polish Chamber of Offshore Wind Energy<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

President Janusz Gajowiecki<\/strong><\/b> is convinced that Western Pomerania is becoming the Polish capital of renewable energy. Many companies have the opportunity to take advantage of this to establish themselves or strengthen their position in the wind industry. We could hear about started and planned investments within the Szczecin Metropolitan Area from Deputy Mayor of Szczecin Michal Przepier<\/strong><\/b>.A lecture on financial instruments in the offer of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego <\/strong><\/b>was presented by Joanna Smolik, Director of the Strategic Relations Department<\/strong><\/b>, while we could hear from Pawe\u0142 Szeremet<\/strong><\/b>, Head of the Office for<\/strong><\/b> Innovation, Science and Smart Specializations<\/strong><\/b>, about tools to support export of companies from Western Pomerania, which are available at the Center<\/strong><\/b> for<\/strong><\/b> Economic Initiatives at the Office of the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Piotr Krahel, Head of<\/strong><\/b> the Strategy and Port Development Office<\/strong><\/b>, Szczecin and Swinoujscie Seaports Authority S.A.<\/strong><\/b>, talked about the strategy and development plans of the ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

The dynamic development of Vestas<\/strong><\/b> in Poland is not only the plant located in Ostrow Brdowski in Szczecin, which is to employ about 700 people, and which is to be launched in 2025 and will deal with the assembly of nacelles for turbines, but also the largest service department in Poland. Marcin Majdzik, Director Poland & Baltics,<\/strong><\/b> talked about its development and the education and training needs of candidates for the service department.<\/p>\n

Mr. Radoslaw Kowalczyk, President of the Board,<\/strong><\/b> talked about the company’s strategy and the possibilities of cooperation with Stocznia Szczeci\u0144ska \u201cWulkan\u201d sp. z o.o.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

Supply Chain Manager, Joanna Rybicka-Gornowicz<\/strong><\/b> spoke about the demand for subcontractors and the possibilities of cooperation with ORLEN Neptun<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n

PGE Baltica<\/strong><\/b> is responsible for the development of offshore wind energy in the PGE Group. An update on the schedule of expected orders, as well as the criteria for the selection of subcontractors was presented by Alicja W\u0105sowicz, Director of the Procurement Office, and Piotr Gowik, Manager of the Procurement Conduct Team.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n
