The 2nd Polish-German Economic Forum organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Poland)<\/b> and the Ministry of Development and Technology<\/b> took place on July 2 at the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw. The event brought together a total of more than 200 participants.<\/p>\n

As part of the all-day forum, entrepreneurs, politicians, representatives of business support institutions and public administration discussed opportunities for cooperation between our countries, particularly in the fields of green transformation and digitalization.<\/p>\n

In addition, a panel discussion dedicated to green transformation, entitled “Decarbonization as a potential solution for European energy security<\/b>,” was attended by:<\/p>\n

– Jakub Wnuczynski<\/b>, CEO, Baltic Towers<\/b><\/p>\n

– Grzegorz Nale\u017cyty<\/b>, CEO, Siemens Energy<\/b><\/p>\n

– Dominika Taranko<\/b>, Vice President and Managing Director, Wind Industry Hub<\/b><\/p>\n

– Agnieszka Wojnarowska<\/b>, Member of the Management Board, RWE Renewables Poland<\/b><\/p>\n

– Jens B\u00f6hlmann<\/b>, Director for SMEs and Green Transformation, Eastern Commission of the German Economy<\/b> (moderator)<\/p>\n

Participants in the discussion emphasized the need for joint action in times of challenges in the energy markets, and pointed the opportunities of the green transformation. During the debate, there was no lack of comments on the prospects for wind energy development in Poland, as well as the involvement of local industry in the investment. One example is the Baltic Towers plant (currently under construction), which is a response to the expected high demand for monopiles ( both in Poland and around the world). RWE, which has been one of the leading developers of wind assets in our country for years, also presented its portfolio of projects on the Polish market. From the perspective of both Poland and Germany, mutual economic relations play a great role, and the value of trade proves that we are mutually important partners for each other.<\/p>\n

The Vice President and Managing Director of Wind Industry Hub also noted the potential for cooperation between Polish and German industry entrepreneurs. Their joint activities can lead to the strengthening of local<\/i> – or in this case: European –<\/i> content<\/i>, which could be crucial to increasing energy security for both Poland and the European Union as a whole.<\/p>\n
